5.2.4. Headstock
consists of:
- gearbox with gears,
- work spindle with its bearing,
The headstock transmits the rotary motion from the main electric motor to the work spindle through the driving section. The
headstock is located on the left hand side of bed. It is of the divided design for easy mounting and repairs and maintenance.
5.2.5. Gearbox
its design transmits the rotary motion from the input shaft of the gearbox to the work spindle by means of shift train of
gears and constant-mesh gears A and B.
The constant-mesh gears A =58 and B = 46 make the speed row of four combinations of work spindle possible for fixed
distances between gears and suitable selection of V belt drive.
