Transport facilities.
When the lathe is being slung:
- care should be taken to its correctly balance. Any differences in balance can be partly equalized by
displacement of the carriage and the tailstock.
- care should be taken the rope not to slip and rest against the protruding parts of lathe.
- the rope should be also fastened to the lifting rod as near as possible to the side face of the bed.
- ropes must be protected againstsharp edges by wooden lining or placing the wooden blocks under them.
- be careful in handling with the lathe and follow all safety instructions.
CAUTION: never enter under the transported lathe!
