5. Description of Main Assemblies of SUA 125 NUMERIC Centre Lathe from
point of view of their Functions.
5.1. General principles.
Manual specification of the SUA 125 NUMERIC centre lathe describes:
- individual functions
- procedure of operator, maintenance and manufacturer for ensuring this functions with the aim of securing the
qualitative and quantitative indexes of cutting process.
This part of Manual serves for service and maintenance of the SUA 125 NUMERIC lathe.
The individual lathe functions are conditioned on:
- complying with to the safety requirements of service and maintenance of lathe.
- version of conception of the individual function assemblies of lathe.
- fixing the operator paces of activity for ensuring the long-lasting operation of this functional assemblies.
Service
Requirements for service and maintenance of lathe from point of view of safety of operation.
1. The machine should be cleaned well daily before and after each shift.
2. Follow the lubricating instructions.
3. Workpiece should be clamped correctly and balanced if possible.
4. Avoid the accumulation of chips on ways and between guide surfaces.
5. Tools should not be placed on the guide surfaces.
6. The guide surfaces and lead screw should be protected against impurities in when grey cast iron is being
machined.
7. Lathe must not be cleaned with compressed air.
8. Follow up qualitative indexes of cutting process, particularly geometric precision and accuracy of
manufacture.
9. Inspection and careful cleaning of lathe and its vicinity should be carried out daily after shift.
10. Follow the instructions defined by the technological process (feed, cutting speed etc.) provided that the quantitative
below mentoined conditions in this Manual must not be excceded:
- max. mass of workpiece and its max. speed (nmax=9 r.p.m.)
- max. torque
- max. cutting forces.
