For the transport by crane the lathe bed is provided in
front and rear sides by holes for steel bars - signed in
front bed body part A and B.
Caution:
Before hooking on the cran (Fig. 9.1) the forwarder
has to remove all fixing facilities
Transport facilities:
Following things should be used for lifting:
- 2 pcs bars of 90 mm dia
600 - 700 MPa.
- 4 pcs in intact ropes with eyes with different
length (2 and 2 allways with the same length)
with corresponding loading capacity.
- sufficient dimensioned lifting device.
Caution.
When the lathe is being slung:
- care should be taken to its correctly balance.
Respective diferences in balance to be partially
balanced by change of length of rope pair.

should be taken the rope not to slip and rest against the
protruding parts of lathe.
- the rope should be also fastened to the lifting rod as
near as possible to the side face of the bed.
- ropes must be protected againstsharp edges by
wooden lining or placing the wooden blocks under them.
- be careful in handling with the lathe and follow all safety
- instructions.
CAUTION: never stay under the transported lathe!
