38. The aids recommended in this Manual should be used in mounting chuck or face plate. Be sure if the face plate is
locked against self - moving when a workpiece is positioned.
39. Tool must be inserted correctly in the tool post.
40. Check the tightening of tool post screws and tool holder screws if need be and find out their possible danger in
turning.
41. Be assured of the right zero clutch position - work spindle stopping, provided that the measurments are taken on the
clamped workpiece.
42. Keep operated levers and grips clean.
CAUTION: (operator) It is inadmissible keeping the operated lathe levers and grips greasy or oiled up.
Hand operated tools.
43. Do not touch the space round the workpiece when the hand operated tools are displaced to another position.
44. Do not use the hand operated tools without grips and tool holders (e.g. a file).
45. The grips of hand operated tools must not be oiled up.
46. Be assure of suitable space for using of hand operated tools, levers and grips, mainly in the space of their contact.
47. Hand operated tools, levers and grips must be fast gripped when used. The suitable kind of hand operated tool should be
selected and the suitable position for its gripping must be checked up from point of view of lever lenght for its easy
handling.
48. Do not use hand operated tools in unsuitable position.
49. Do not act with excessive force on the hand operated tool
50. The prescribed position should always be used for gripping of the hand operated tools, levers and grips.
51. Never use broken, knocked off or somehow damaged tools.
Cutting lubricant
52.The cutting lubricant should be selected in accordance with the recommendation of this Manual or its manufacturer.
CAUTION: When liquidate the cutting lubricant you must follow the defined directiones of its manufacturer. The cutting
lubricant quality must be checked continuously in keeping line with the hygienic regulations.
Personal protective aids
53. The safe turning operation is assumed to use the personal protective aids. Therefore it is necessary to select the suitable
choice of protective aids in accordance with this Manusl, concerning the general principles of safety operation obtained by
briefing as a rule.
CAUTION: (operator) The recommended protective aids must be used when the lathe is in operation.
Please, follow the recommendation of their application and use the protective aids in accordance with it.
54. Save your eyes against flying chips from the lathe in turning process.
55. Use the protective aids concerning the specific operation. The recommended use of the suitable personal protective aids
should be done in accordance with the Manual.
Do not use the unsuitable protective aids.
Cutting forces
56. CAUTION:
The max. intensity of cutting forces, the axial force applied to a tailstock centre and torque on spindle and lead screws in
specific speed range and feed rate described in this Manual must not be exceeded in turning process.
From point of view of force utilization of lathe the attention should be paid to the technological processes recommended in
this Manual and tool choice with adjusted cutting conditious.
The suitable direction resultant cutting force must be assured.
57. CAUTION: Cutting tools amenable to check.
58. Provided that the checking of lathe accuracy is taken,the main switch must be switched off.
(Up to a principle, the measuring never be taken when the clutch is disengaged.)
