- the multi-plate brake mechanical shifting by means of a pair of parallel helical compression springs (herein after called
brake)
- the single-acting hydraulic cylinder (hereinafter called hydraulic cylinder)
-helical compression springs in parallel arrangement (hereinafter called springs).
V-belt pulley, and brake are located, together with gears, on the input shaft of headstock leading to the gearbox. Hydraulic
cylinder and springs are on the centre line with the input shaft of gearbox.
Note:
The rotary motion transfer from the main electric motor to work spindle is made by means of V-belt pulleys and V-belts,
and gears in the gearbox. The gearbox is the integral part of headstock.
The input shaft of headstock is situated between the driving section and gearbox.
The driving section is covered by means of fast cover with lid. The access to the driving section is possible after unscrewing
and taking off its fast cover.
The access to the brake is possible after unscrewing rear lid of the gearbox (rear lid of headstock).
The access to the hydraulic set on the left hand rear side is possible after unscrewing the lid of the fixed cover.
Hydraulic cylinder is accessible free individual unit on the rear side of headstock.
CAUTION: (operator) Before uncoverring the driving section or unscrewing the lid of its cover, the main electric motor of
lathe must be switched off.
Fast cover of the driving section must be screwed on.
