INSTRUCTION MANUAL
UG30 CONTROL

mP30-UG30 - Rev. 1.5 - Date: 18-03-2004 EN
CONNECTING MORE THAN ONE UNIT
It is possible to electronically connect up to 6 units on the same local network connection, where 5 units run in
normal operation and 1 unit in stand-by.
In order to distribute the work load an automatic unit rotation is managed, it works on a temporal base at
programmable time intervals (FACTORY H4 parameter). When necessary 1 of the units is turned off and the unit in
stand-by is activated. The rotation follows the progressive order of the addresses set (FACTORY H3 parameter).
If an Alarm event occurs on one of the units connected the control automatically activates the unit in Stand-by (serious
alarms are specified in the section entitled "DESCRIPTION OF ALARM CODES").
IMPORTANT:
the Units are electrically connected using digital output DO7 and digital input ID5 (see electric
drawings), therefore the connection can not be made in the following cases:
- for units that are already using the digital output DO7 for the dehumidification electrovalve(CW-DX air-
conditioners) or for reporting of a non-serious alarm status (CW/S-DX/S air-conditioners).
- for units that are already using the digital in put ID5 for the connection of optional digital sensors (high/low
temperature/humidity sensors, water leak detector).
After having performed the electrical connection between the units , it is necessary to modify the parameters "GLb":
H2, H3, H4 ed HA.
GLb GENERAL
Min. Max Measurement

Default
H2
Number of units connected:
0 = stand-alone unit;
2…6 = total number of units connected.
0 6 - 0
H3
Address for unit connected for rotation.
Each unit must have a different address between 1 and 6.
If two units have the same address then they will be placed in stand-by.
1 6 - 0
H4
Rotation time between the units in hours.
If H4 = 0 the control will perform a test, the units will rotate at intervals of 2
minutes.
0 250 hours 168
HA
Digital output configuration DO7:
0 = excited relay in dehumidification (CW unit)
1 = de-energize in dehumidification (DX unit)
2 = alarm relay for non-serious alarms (CW/S-DX/S only)
3 = output for rotation control
