Jerky brake movements!
Jerky brake movements can cause damage to the CHALLENGER550 and to the nose landing gear
of the aircraft.
Always drive with caution.
Brake slowly and continuously.
The train, consisting of the CHALLENGER550, towbar and aircraft, has to be in a straight line
during braking.
In the case of lightweight aircraft, avoid heavy braking, to prevent damage to the nose wheel.
Engine damage!
Turning off the engine too early can cause heat to build up and damage the engine.
Do not turn the engine off immediately when you have just subjected the CHALLENGER550
to high loads.
Run the engine at idle speed for a few more minutes with the transmission in neutral.
Unsuitable or dirty fuel!
Unsuitable and dirty fuel can damage the injection system and the fuel pump.
Only refuel using commercially available diesel fuel with a sulfur content of less than 0.5 %.
Pay attention to cleanliness when refueling. If refueling from canisters or barrels, filter the fuel
in advance.
Never mix fuel with water.
Fuel tank empty!
The injection system and starter could get damaged if the engine is started when the fuel tank is
empty.
After refueling with clean fuel, the fuel system of the CHALLENGER550 has to be bled by
authorized technicians in accordance with the manual of the engine manufacturer.
Do not let the tank run empty.
