INFORMATION
If the selector lever is in the Neutral position, it will be necessary to unlock it before selecting the
driving direction (hold down red control).
If the selector lever is in the Forward or Reverse position, the driving direction can be selected
without first unlocking the lever.
After selecting the driving direction, an arrow appears for approx. 15 seconds on the display to indi-
cate the driving direction.
The desired driving direction/drive position has been selected.
INFORMATION
When the driving direction is set to "reverse", the hazard lights are switched on automatically.
Selecting steering program
Danger of crushing!
During steering, persons can be crushed between wheel and wheel case.
The crush injuries can be life-threatening or even fatal.
Steer only if no persons are in the vicinity of the wheels.
Visual contact has to be maintained between the operator and wing walkers at all times.
INFORMATION
Changing the steering program should never be carried out at speeds over 2 km/h (1 mph) (do not
perform while idling).
The wheels must be in a straight position when changing the steering program.
(1)
Accelerate the CHALLENGER550 to a speed of 2 km/h (1 mph).
(2) Make sure that the wheels are straight.
