Switching ignition on
Material damage!
The starter and battery may be damaged by too many consecutive attempts to start the engine.
Allow a break of 1 to 2 minutes between start attempts.
Never try to start the engine again before it has come to a standstill.

(1) Turn preheater starter switch to position "I".
Ignition is on.
Parking lights and rotating beacons switch on automatically.
Display boots up.
If required, the engine is preheated automatically and the "Preheat" control light goes out after-
wards.
INFORMATION
After switching on the ignition, the steering system is tested. The display shows a yellow bar with
the message "Test steering system". During the test phase, the engine can not be started.
