4. Safety equipment
The following describes all of the safety equipment relevant for the operator of the CHALLEN-
GER550.
A. Operating and parking brakes
Operating brake
The brake pedal on the operator platform brakes the moving CHALLENGER550.
Parking brake
The parking brake secures the parked CHALLENGER550 against unintentional rolling.
Without hydraulic oil pressure, the parking brake (which is a spring-loaded brake) will automatically
act on the rear axle wheels.
