3.1 Functional description
The Atmos is used as an exhaust system for gases and smoke contaminated with pollutants. An exhaust hose is
connected directly between the machine to be subjected to extraction and the Atmos.
The gases/smoke removed through the exhaust hose are extracted into the filter casing with the filter insert.
The Atmos consists of the following filter stages:

Fine filter

activated carbon filter
The polluted air is sucked through the filter part by the turbine and cleaned. The cleaned air is released into the ambient
air through the exhaust grille attached to the rear.
3.2 Connecting an external control system
To operate the Atmos Pure using an automatic remote control, a control cable with a Sub-D9 connection is required.
The PIN assignment of the Sub-D9 connection (see Connecting an external control system) must be observed!
3.3 Safety devices
To ensure that when the Atmos is used as intended, no hazards to the safety and health of the operator or third parties
exist, the Atmos is equipped with protective devices.
The entire Atmos system is designed and manufactured according to current state-of-the-art and acknowledged safety
regulations. In order to ensure safe operation for personnel and the environment, the precautions described below have
been taken or safety devices installed.
Unauthorized removal or bypassing (working around) safety devices is a criminal offense. In the event of damage, any
liability claim shall expire.
In the event of a power failure, all elements of the control systems are safe for the operator and the environment.
All live components are secured against contact (insulated) and installed with sufficient flashover clearance. Live
assemblies are built into the turbine casing, which can only be opened with a tool.
