Safety
We recommend using the H14 filter unit for the following applications:
•
Special substances (metal alloys of particle size < 1 μm)
OR
•
due to labor law regulations.
For areas of activity other than those mentioned in this operating manual, no statements can be made regarding the risk
to people and the environment. If gases and smoke contaminated with pollutants are to be extracted in an environment
other than that mentioned here, no general statement can be made regarding the suitability of the Atmos.
In this case, it is essential to contact Trotec Laser GmbH, otherwise any guarantee and warranty claims are void.
When handling hazardous substances, please make sure to observe the accident prevention regulations and in
particular the safety regulations for air pollution control systems at the workplace, ZH 1/140.
The Atmos may only be operated with the accessories/equipment provided and approved for this purpose by Trotec
Laser GmbH.
The information in Chapter 3.4 Technical Data must be observed and complied with.
Improper use includes the extraction of:
•
damp, liquid or vaporous substances,
•
explosive or flammable gases/substances/mixtures of substance and air,
•
substances crystallizing in airtight layers,
•
sticky or static adhesive materials or
•
substances that generate sparks.
Any other or additional use e.g. as an industrial vacuum cleaner, is not considered appropriate.
The Atmos must not be used if gases and smoke are to be extracted under production conditions, whereby carcinogenic
substances according to BIA TRGS 900 can occur or may be contained. The operator of the Atmos is solely liable for any
damage resulting from improper use. This also applies to unauthorized or arbitrary changes to the Atmos.
Components/spare parts that are not in perfect condition must be replaced immediately. Use only original spare parts.
Especially in the case of externally procured filter inserts, there is no guarantee that they will completely filter out the
pollutants from the extracted gas/smoke.
Intended use also includes compliance with the instructions relating to:
•
Safety,
•
operation and
•
maintenance/servicing,
described in these instructions.
2.5 Residual risk
Even if all safety regulations are observed, there is still a residual risk when operating the Atmos.
All persons who work on and with the Atmos must be aware of this residual risk and follow the instructions that prevent
this residual risk from leading to accidents or damages.
