Safety
2 Safety
2.1 General matters
The operating manual is an essential part of the Atmos. The operator must ensure that the operating personnel take
note of these guidelines.
The operating manual is likely to be exposed to intensive use at the location where the Atmos is used, so it is the
operators responsibility to:
keep the original in a safe place,
ensure that a copy of the operating manual is always available at the Atmos workstation,
ensure that every user reads the operating manual carefully and observes and complies with all information.
The operating manual must be supplemented by its operator to include operating instructions based on existing
national regulations for accident prevention (BGV D27) and environmental protection, including information on
supervisory and reporting obligations, to consider special operational features e. g. with regard to work organization,
work processes and appointed personnel.
In addition to the operating manual and the obligatory accident prevention regulations applicable in the country/place
of use, the recognized technical rules for safe and professional work must also be observed.
The Atmos must be tested by an expert no later than aer one year of use. The test certificate must be documented in
writing.
The operator/user must not make any changes, additions or modifications to the Atmos that could impair its safety
without the manufacturers approval. This applies especially to the installation and setting of safety features.
Any spare parts used must meet the technical requirements specified by the manufacturer. This is always warranted
with original spare parts.
Use only trained or instructed personnel. The responsibilities of the personnel for operation, maintenance and repair
must be clearly defined.
Persons who are yet to be trained, instructed or are in the course of general training may only work on the Atmos under
the constant supervision of an experienced person.
The Atmos must only be maintained by specially trained personnel from Trotec Laser GmbH or an authorized service
company.
2.2 Instruction and training
As an operator of the Atmos, you are obliged to inform or instruct the operating/maintenance personnel on existing
legal and accident prevention regulations as well as existing safety devices on and around the Atmos. The various
professional qualifications of the employees must be taken into account.
The operating/maintenance personnel must have understood the instructions and it is necessary to ensure that the
instructions are complied with.
