Starting the Atmos up
5 Starting the Atmos up
CONNECTING AN EXTERNAL CONTROL SYSTEM
The Atmos is turned on or controlled either on the control panel via the pushbutton (on/off button) or by an external
control (e. g.of the machine to be suctioned) (automatic remote control). When switching on manually, press and hold
Start-Stop button for 0.5 seconds. The automatic remote control is connected to the Atmos via a nine-pole cable with
Sub-D9 connectors.

1 Start/stop contact 24

Input signal for start/stop contact from the external
machine.
High: Start (24 V DC)
Low: Stop (0 V DC)
2 Operating display Output signal for operation of the filter system:
High: Filter system is in operation (24 V DC)
Low: Filter system is not operating (0 V DC)
3 “Filter full” Output signal for common error message from the filter
system:
High: Filter, activated carbon and/or carbon brushes are
OK (24 V DC)
Low: Filter, activated carbon and/or carbon brushes must
be replaced (0 V DC)
4.5 not used
6 24 V DC Output signal with permanent 24 V DC
7.8 not used
Connection socket Sub-D9,
on the machine
9 common ground for PIN 1 to PIN 6

1. Using an appropriate cable, connect the external
control to the Sub-D9 connector on the turbine casing.
