Access Management
Access management takes care of user accounts and device security.
User Accounts
With user accounts, you can protect the configuration of the device by restricting its access
with a user name and a password. Once the user account mode is activated, you need the
user name/password combination to access the command line interface (CLI) of the device
and the web interface.
Two types of users are available:
 Administrator—Has all rights and is automatically available when user accounts are
activated.
 Web client—Only has access to live video and quick status in the web interface. Five
web clients are available.
The user account parameters are:
 User Accounts—To enable or disable the use of user names and passwords to access the
device with the web interface or the command line interface. If disabled, anybody can
access the device.
 UserType User Name—An alphanumeric string identifying a web interface user.
 UserType Password—An alphanumeric string of at least four characters long protecting
the access to the device.
 Web Client x—To allow a web client to access the web interface.
