Attaching the machine
When attaching the machine there is an increased risk of personal
injury.
Attention to the safety instructions assures your and others personal
safety.
Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious injuries.
Therefore, when attaching the machine, you must ensure that the
machine cannot become detached from the tractor.
Lift the machine well clear of the ground.
Tighten the tractor's stabiliser chains.
Because of the increase in weight, it is recommended that the tractor's
left-hand stabiliser chain be tightened more than usual, so that the
machine is pulled as far to the left as possible.
Attach the PTO shaft to the tractor.
The freewheel on the PTO shaft should turn towards the machine.
When checking and shortening the PTO shaft, refer to the manufac-
turer's instructions, delivered with the PTO shaft.
Connect the hydraulic hoses to the tractor's hydraulic outlet.
Lower the machine back down to the ground.
Adjust the top link to the desired stubble height.
• Making the top link shorter reduces the stubble height
• Making the top link longer increases the stubble height.
