Version 1.2
Operating and Assembly Instructions
Dispenser RD-EC 11 / 27
3.3 Shutting down
• Switch off the drive to the dispenser and lock it to prevent it from being switched on
again.
• Shut down the feed device.
• Release the admission pressure.
• Remove the stator and store it separately (see 4.2, Changing the stator, page 12).
• Dismantling / cleaning the dispenser (see 4.4, Dismantling the dispenser, Page 15).
• Store the dispenser as described in Chapter 7.2, Technical data, Page 26.
3.4 Re-commissioning
Attention! Do not switch on the dispenser yet. If there is no product, there is a risk of
damage. Note section 2.3, Operating environment, prevention of material damage on
page 6. Even a brief period of dry running can lead to the stator being destroyed.
Attention! The dispenser and the drive unit may only be installed when the unit is
electrically dead. The motor take-off shaft must line up with the dispenser drive shaft. In
the event of incorrect installation there is a risk of increased wear and of metal being worn
off.
• Have the safety aspects of the dispenser checked and clarified by qualified
maintenance personnel (see 2.5.2, Service personnel, Page 7).
• Ensure that the dispenser is free of product residues.
• Fill the dispenser with product as outlined in section 3.2.1, Feeding product for the first
time, Page 10.
4 Servicing
Have maintenance work performed by specialist personnel. See section 2.5.2, Service
personnel, Page 7.
4.1 Servicing intervals
The dispenser is to be considered largely maintenance-free. To ensure trouble-free
operation, we recommend carrying out a regular check depending on the product to be
processed.
