2.4 Correct use, warranty
The dispenser is intended for the pumping and exact metering of media in environments
without explosion protection.
The chemical resistance of the parts in contact with the product is to be checked prior to
commissioning (to be found in the order confirmation for the related dispenser and in
section 7.3, the materials used are given on page 26)
The product warranty may be voided by any
- conversions or modifications
- use of non-original spare parts
- Repairs by persons or organisations not authorised by the manufacturer
that are done without the explicit and written approval of the manufacturer.
No liability can be accepted for damage caused by failure to observe the operating and
maintenance instructions.
2.5 Qualifications of the operators and maintenance personnel
The operating organisation is responsible for ensuring that the operators and
maintenance personnel are suitably qualified. It must ensure that only authorised
personnel use the dispenser. We recommend the written confirmation of familiarisation
with these operating and maintenance instructions by the operators and maintenance
personnel.
2.5.1 Operators
Persons who work with and operate the dispenser must be adequately trained for the
related activities. The operating and maintenance instructions must have been read and
understood.
2.5.2 Service personnel
Persons who maintain and repair the dispenser must be suitably qualified and:
- adequately trained for the related activities
- be familiar with and follow the applicable technical rules and safety regulations
- have read and understood the operating and maintenance instructions.
A suitably qualified person is a person who, due to his/her specialist training and
experience, has sufficient knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and electrical
engineering, and who is sufficiently familiar with the applicable health and safety and
accident prevention regulations, guidelines and generally accepted technical rules (DIN
standards) that he/she can evaluate if the dispenser is safe.
