3. Save the
*.edid
file.
4. Upload the EDID to the encoder.
5. Power cycle the encoder to use the new EDID file.
The source device may need to be power-cycled in order to accept the new EDID. Physically remove power from the source device
then reapply it.
MULTI-INPUT EDID MANAGEMENT (ENCODER ONLY)
DuetE-2 encoders support multi-input select between HDMI1, HDMI2, and USB-C. Each of the selectable inputs have their own
selectable EDID setting. VIDEO.EDID1 is used for HDMI1, VIDEO.EDID2 is used for HDMI2, and VIDEO.EDID3 is used for USB-C.
CUSTOM SPLASH SCREEN (DECODERS ONLY)
A custom splash screen may be uploaded to the decoder for use when there is no audio source, or a source time out occurs. The file
must be a JPEG (*.jpg) and be less than 500KB (524287 bytes) in size. Resolution should be 1920x1080. Other resolutions will
result in lower quality or aspect ratio mismatch.
DANTE™
What are the features of the Dante™ integration and how does it work?
The DuetE-2 and DuetD-2 allow for the extraction and insertion of Dante™ audio onto and off of the Dante™ network. Each DuetE-2
allows up to 2 channels of LPCM audio to be extracted and made available as Dante™ channels to the Dante Network™. Also, up to 4
channels of Dante™ audio may be inserted into the AV stream from the encoder and sent to any decoders tuned to the stream. Each
DuetD-2 may subscribe to up to 4 channels of Dante™ audio and insert that into their HDMI and USB-C output instead of the AV
stream audio. Each DuetD-2 also makes up
to 4 transmit channels of Dante™ audio available to the Dante Network from the AV
stream audio being decoded. Please see the Duet-2 Audio Workflow Diagram, see Figure 11, for the signal routing possibilities.
DANTE™ VLAN
R
EQUIREMENTS
The Dante Network™ should be configured as a separate VLAN conforming to normal Dante Network™ setup. The Dante Network™
should be separate from the AV stream network to prevent networks issues. Under very special circumstances Visionary
Solutions
may
be able to assist in a single VLAN deployment, but this is not recommended.
