MAINTENANCE
A. Changing filters
1. Accessing the filter
This operation can be carried out by the user. However, you are advised to get it done by a
professional. Check out the video tutorials available on our YouTube channel:

The VMI
®
CUBE unit may be either equipped with:
A pollen filter (G4 type, coarse 65%)
A fine particle filter (F7 type, ePM1 55%)
An odour filter (F7 type with active carbon, ePM1 55%)
Some units can be fitted with two filters. For example, VMI
®
CUBE systems installed in attics
can also be fitted with a G4 sleeve filter.
To ensure optimum air quality and correct functioning of the VMI
®
unit, the filter must be
changed regularly (at least once a year).
To change the filter:
Order a new filter from the manufacturer, VMI, or from your installer.
If necessary, turn off the electrical preheating and wait for 5 to 10 minutes.
Cut the power to the VMI® unit.
Access the VMI
®
unit.
Remove the hatch by releasing the black quarter turn screws.
Remove the used filter and dispose of with household waste (filters cannot be recycled).
Insert the new filter (the filter tab must be facing outwards, and the printed side of the
filter must remain visible).
WARNING: Do not insert anything in the machine apart from the new filter. When changing the
filter, only the blue hatch must be removed. You may get an electric shock, get burnt or cut
yourself if you open the housing.
Refit the filter hatch and secure with the quarter turn screws.
Activate the electricity supply to power up the VMI
®
unit.
Confirm the filter change in the VMI+ application or via the control unit.
