7 PREPARATIONS FOR START-UP
7.1 Connection to the electrical mains
The specification of the local electricity board must be observed. For connected loads, please refer to
the specifications.
Attention
Work on the electrical system may only be performed by qualified electricians.
A cable gland is provided for inserting the mains cable into the machine. The power supply is con-
nected according to the circuit diagram.
7.1.1 Checking the rotational direction of the motor
a) Turn on the machine using the mains switch.
b) Place the isolator to the ON position.
c) Check if the Emergency Shutdown is disconnected.
d) Press on the F2 key to reach the parameters then on F3 to go in the second page of the
parameters.
e) Press on the F1 key to select manual operation.
f) Press on the F3 key to reach the screen of the manual displacement of the blade.
g) Press on the F2 key, the motor must turn in the direction of the clockwise.
h) If the motor is rotating in the wrong direction, disconnect the power supply to the machine and get a
qualified electrician to swap over phases L1 and L3 at the mains terminals..
7.2 Compressed Air Connection
To operate the machine, external compressed air (pressure see Technical Data) must be available.
Note
Compressed air must be available prior to switching the machine on.
a) Connect hose 1 from external compressed air supply to pneumatic unit.
b) Operating pressure (see Technical Datas) was set at the factory. This pressure must be available
constantly during operation.
The adjustment screw 2 should be adjusted as required. Pull the adjustment screw up and turn it.
