4.16 Connecting and Disconnecting the Handpieces
Vitreoretinal and cataract handpieces
Each surgical interface head comes with a set of three corresponding handpieces.
The vitreoretinal handpieces have long tips, the cataract handpieces have short tips.

Malfunction if cataract and vitreoretinal handpieces
are mixed
Mixing the cataract and vitreoretinal handpieces leads to malfunction. Only use
cataract or vitreoretinal handpieces at a time. Only use handpieces with the
corresponding surgical interface head.
Info Handpieces interchangeable anytime
The surgical handpieces can be interchanged while the simulator running.
