16.1 Determining oxygen concentration
Oxygen and Combi MODULES
Oxygen concentration depends on the flow rate of
the oxygen and on the patient’s respiratory minute
volume.
You can determine the relevant reference values
from the diagram below.
Example
Set flow rate is 6 l/min, respiratory minute volume is
10 l/min, breathing station with economy bag in
use;
from this information, the above-mentioned
diagram produces an oxygen concentration of
approx. 65 %.
