7 Hygienic reprocessing
The following sections set out the procedures necessary for
hygienic reprocessing. Read this chapter in full before starting
hygienic reprocessing. If you have any questions about hygienic
reprocessing, please contact the manufacturer

7.1 Intervals
*In the event of visible dirt or suspected contamination.
7.2 Preparing for hygienic reprocessing
Requirement • The device fitted to the portable unit is switched off.
• The device is disconnected from the patient.
1. Disconnect the emergency backpack from the power supply.
2. If present: Remove the following parts from the emergency
backpack:
• Device on portable unit
• Contents of the accessories bags
• Breathing circuit
3. Remove emergency backpack (see 6, p. 26).
Please note: The shoulder straps must not be removed.
