7 Hygienic reprocessing
7.6 Preparing parts for reuse
Requirement The parts have been subjected to hygienic reprocessing according
to the cleaning and disinfection plan.
1. Check all parts for damage resulting from use, e.g. cable
breaks.
2. Replace damaged parts.
3. Assemble emergency backpack (see 8, p. 36).
4. If present: Stow the following parts in the emergency
backpack:
• Device on portable unit
• Contents of the accessories bags
• Breathing circuit
5. Connect emergency backpack to the power supply (see 5.3,
p. 20).
6. Carry out a function check (see 4, p. 16).
7. In the case of prolonged storage: Place parts in storage in
accordance with the storage conditions (see 14, p. 49).
