4.2.5 Replace water fi lter
This program appears when you use a water fi lter and the usage has been confi rmed during the initial
settings (Chapter “2.5 Insert the WMF water fi lter” on page 11).
However, depending on the water hardness and the water fl ow, at least after 3 months, a display
requesting to change the water fi lter, appears. If you do not replace the water fi lter, you must deactivate
the application in basic settings. In this case, you must always remove the old water fi lter and adapter.
If you can only prepare 5 litres of coffee before the machine gets blocked, a countdown appears in the
display. Thereafter, a continuous request for machine-cleaning appears.
> Call the customer care programs (“4.2.1 Calling up the
customer care programmes” on page 46).
> Browse until the fi lter change.
> With the help of +/- button, select the fi lter change
function.
> Start fi lter change with the
P
button.
> Take out the water tank from the automatic coffee
machine.
> Exchange the old fi lter for a new one as described under
the chapter “2.5 Insert the WMF water fi lter” on page 11.
> Fill the water tank with cold tap water.
> Place the lid on the water tank.
