Power Module Removal (continued)
Remove the 4 screws that secure the power module 1.
assembly to the cooktop bottom pan. NOTE: If you
are working on an installed unit, be careful that the
assembly does not fall once the screws are removed.
(See Figure 4-8)
Lean the power module assembly down enough to 2.
grain access to the wiring connectors and disconnect.
NOTE: Always mark the connectors with identi ers to
insure proper connection upon reassembly.
Once all of the wires are disconnected from the 3.
power module it can be lowered, allowing the tab
on the mounting plate to be slid from the slot in the
bottom of the cooktop. (See Figure 4-9)

TO AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCK, POWER TO
THE UNIT MUST BE DISCONNECTED BEFORE
ATTEMPTING THE FOLLOWING REPAIRS.
Cooling Fan Removal CT30 & CT36
NOTE: To remove the Cooling Fan on models CT30 &
CT36, access must rst be gained to the bottom of the
cooktop which may require removing the cooktop from its
installation. Refer to the installation section of this manual
or the Installation Guide included with the cooktop for
additional information needed.
Remove the 3 screws that secure the fan assembly 1.
to the cooktop bottom pan. (See Figure 4-10) NOTE:
If you are working on an installed unit, be careful
that the assembly does not fall once the screws are
removed.
Disconnect the wires feeding the fan either at the 2.
Molex plug (if accessible) or by sliding the spade
connectors off the fan spade terminals.
NOTE: Make sure the new fan is installed with the proper
air ow (fan blows air out of cooktop). The fan has an
arrow molded into the housing that indicates air ow
direction.
Cooling Fan Removal CT15
NOTE: To remove the cooling fan on the CT15 the
unit must be removed from its installation. Refer to the
installation section of this manual or the Installation
Guide included with the cooktop for additional information
needed.
Glass top assembly must rst be removed. (See 1.
Glass Top Assembly Removal)
