SECTION 6 MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Turn the key switch to the OFF (0) position and remove
the key before performing service near moving parts such as blades,
pulleys, motors, belts, and chains. If the key is turned on and moving
parts activated, serious injury or death may result.
See the Maintenance chart located after this section for a complete list of maintenance
procedures and intervals. Keep a log of machine maintenance by recording in the
machine hours and the date you perform each procedure.
This symbol identifies the interval (hours of operation) at which each maintenance pro-
cedure should be performed.
Be sure to refer to option and engine manuals for other maintenance procedures.
6.1 Wear Life
See Table 6-1. This chart lists estimated life expectancy of common replacement parts if
proper maintenance and operation procedures are followed. Due to the many variables
which exist during sawmill operation, actual part life may vary significantly. This informa
-
tion is provided so that you may plan ahead in ordering replacement parts.
6.2 Blade Guides
WARNING! Turn the key switch to the OFF (0) position and remove
the key before performing service near moving parts such as blades,
pulleys, motors, belts, and chains. If the key is turned on and moving
parts activated, serious injury or death may result.
1. Check the rollers for performance and wear every blade change.
2. Replace any rollers which are not clean, not spinning freely, or have worn smooth or mis-
shaped.
