IEEE-488.2/SCPI Syntax and Style
Parameters
Units of Measure and Multipliers
Refer to IEEE 488.2, section 7.7.3 for the definition of units of measure.
The default units of measure include:
• V (Volt – voltage)
• A (Ampere – current)
• W (Watt – power)
• S (seconds – time)
The supported optional multipliers include:
• m (milli)
• k (kilo)
Important:
The SI standard for these multipliers is specifically lowercase,
while the IEEE standard specifies uppercase. Both combinations are supported.
