General Paper Loading Guidelines
Letter (8.5 x 11 in.) and A4 (210 x 297 mm) sizes can be loaded with the long-edge or short-edge leading
into the printer. Long-edge feed is the preferred orientation to maximize the pages printed per minute,
and minimize supply usage.
• Do not load paper above the maximum fill line. Overfilling the tray can cause the printer to jam.
• Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size.
• Fan paper before loading it in the paper tray.
• If excessive jams occur, use paper or other approved media from a new package.
• Do not print on label media once a label has been removed from a sheet.
• Use only paper envelopes. Print envelopes 1-sided only.
