4.9 Conductivity
4.9.1 General information
You can measure the following parameters:
Conductivity
Specific resistance
Salinity
Total dissolved solids (TDS)
Note
The sensor connection and the USB-B (device) interface are galvani-
cally isolated. This enables interference-free measurements in
grounded measuring media.
Temperature
measurement
IDS sensors measure the temperature with a temperature sensor inte-
grated in the IDS sensor.
Preparatory activities Perform the following preparatory activities when you want to measure:
4.9.2 Measuring
You can carry out conductivity measurements as follows:
1 Connect an IDS conductivity sensor to the meter.
The conductivity measuring window is displayed.
The Measuring cell and cell constant for the connected IDS
conductivity sensor are automatically taken over.
1 Perform the preparatory activities according to section 4.9.1.
2 Immerse the IDS conductivity sensor in the test sample.
