Tiller Handle
1. Remove the steering hook 1.
NOTE: The removed nut should be used for the
handle installation, so keep it for the installation.
2. Install the tiller handle assembly 1 and nut
2.
T orque: N ut - 40N m ( 4.0 m-kg, 2 9 ft-lb.)
3. Install the following:
1 Grommet
2 Shift Cable
3 Throttle Cable
4 Battery Cable
5 Extension Wire Harness
6 Main Switch Harness
7 Power Trim/Tilt Switch Leads
NOTE:Align the taped end
a of the battery cable
and the extension wire harness with the end of the
grommet.
4. Install the cable clamp 1.
5. Install the fitting plate 1 and bolt 2.
NOTE:After securing the fitting plate, lift the
tiller handle straight up and check that the cables
and wires are not stretched.
T orque: N ut - 8N m ( 0.8m-kg, 5.8ft-lb)
