6. Adjust the shift cable joint position.
a. Turn the shift handle 1 to the neutral
position.
b. Align the center of the set pin 2 with the
mark
a on the bracket.
c. Adjust the position of the cable joint until
its hole aligns with the set pin.
d. Install the clip 3 and tighten the lock nut

M ake sure the cable joint is screwed in more
than 8mm ( 0.31 in) .
7. Check for smooth shift operation. If the shift
operation is not smooth, diagnose and repair.
8. Adjust the throttle cable joint position.
a. Turn the throttle grip fully close.
b. Turn the magneto control lever 1 so
its adjusting screw contacts the fully
retarding stopper

c. Adjust the position of the cable joint until
its hole aligns with the set pin.
d. Install the clip 2 and tighten the lock nut

M ake sure the cable joint is screwed in more
than 8mm ( 0.31in) .
9. Check the throttle for its fully open position
and correct if necessary.
a. Turn the shift handle in forward position.
b. Turn the throttle grip fully open.
c. Check the throttle valve lever so that it
contacts the full-open stopper 1.
10. Connect the main switch harness 1, oil level
gauge lead 2, trim sensor lead 3, and power
trim/tilt switch coupler 4.
