• Align the set pin 2 as shown.
• Adjust the position of the cable joint 3
until its hole aligns with the set pin.
• Install the clip 4 and tighten the lock nut 5.
The cable joint should be screwed in more
than 8.0mm (0.31 in).
6. Check:
• Shift operation
Unsmooth operation → Repair.
7. Adjust:
• Throttle cable joint position
Adjustment steps:
• Turn the throttle grip fully close.
• Align the throttle lever 1 as shown.
• Adjust the position of the cable joint 2
until its hole aligns with the set pin.
• Install the clip 3 and tighten the lock
nut 4.
The cable joint should be screwed in more
than 8.0mm (0.31 in).
8. Check:
• Fully open position
Incorrect → Repair.
9. Connect:
• Engine stop switch connectors 1

Checking steps:
• Turn the shift handle in gear position.
• Turn the throttle grip fully open.
• Check the throttle valve lever so that it
contacts the fully opening stopper.
