1.5.15. Crowded Areas
● Whengettinginthewheelchairinacrowdedarea,dosowithsufficientattentiontoyour
surroundings. If you bump into people or objects, your body may plunge forward, or people
around you may get injured.
● Whenyouarestoppedinacrowdedarea,besuretoturnoffthepower.Ifapersoninyour
surrounding area hits the joystick with his or her hand or arm, the wheelchair may start
movingunexpectedly,causinginjurytopeoplearoundyou.
1.5.16. Transporting and Storing the Wheelchair
● Whenliftingawheelchairwithtilt-uparmsupport,neverliftitbythearmsupport.Other-
wise, the arm support may come off and cause an injury or damage to the equipment.
● Donotturnthewheelchairupsidedown.Doingsomaycausepartsofthewheelchairtofall
off, resulting in an injury or damage to the equipment.
● Whenliftingawheelchair,neverliftitbythebattery,cable,orcontroller.Otherwise,anyof
these devices may come off and cause an injury or damage to the equipment.

● Besuretostorethedisconnectedbatterywiththe
protectivecaponit.Exposedcontactscancause
short circuits and lead to a fire or battery rupture.

● Donotstoreinplacesthatcangetwetbyrain,orthatarehighinhumidity.
● Donotstorewhenithasbeenwetforalongtime,orthereisdirtonit.Thiscancausemal-
function.
● Duringtransport,donotplacethebatteryorthewheelchairinaplacethatcanbecomehot,
or in direct sunlight.
This could lead to malfunction, or could cause the deterioration of the battery to progress
rapidly.
● Besuretoremovethebatterywhennotinuse,sothatitspowerwillnotturnonunexpect-
edly in storage or during transport.
