8. Nickel Metal Hydride Battery and Charger
8.1. Features of the Nickel Metal Hydride Battery (JWB2)
Equipped with Battery Management Control System (BMC). (built-in microprocessor) This is a system
that uses a computer to track charge/discharge status, operating conditions, and temperature.
Battery does not contain mercury or cadmium.
Compact but high capacity. (Capacity: 24 V × 6.7 Ah)
8.2. How to Use the Nickel Metal Hydride Battery (JWB2)
(1) Attaching and removing the battery to and from the wheelchair
For instructions on attaching and removing the nickel metal hydride battery to and from the wheel-
chair, see “4. Riding the Wheelchair” and “5. After You are Finished Riding the Wheelchair”.
(2) Checking the residual capacity of the battery
Press the indicator switch to display the battery’s residual capacity.
