7.1. Types of Batteries
There are two types of batteries you can use for NAVIGO.
• Nickel metal hydride battery (JWB2)
• Lithium ion battery (ESB1)
Both types of batteries are sealed dry-cell batteries with a built-in microcomputer. Since the batteries di󰀨er
in characteristics and charging method, rst check the battery type you want to use.
Check the label on the battery.

The nickel metal hydride and lithium ion batteries each come with its own designated charger.

Recycling the battery
The battery for NAVIGO is a recyclable battery that contains valuable re-
sources.
