a. Loosen the locknut “1”.
b. Turn the adjusting nut “2” in or out until the
clearance is obtained.
c. Tighten the locknut.
10.Remove:
• Throttle valve angle adjusting tool
11.Install:
• Air filter case
Refer to “AIR FILTER CASE” on page 6-4.
• Service lid
Refer to “GENERAL CHASSIS (5)” on page
4-10.
CHECKING THE EXHAUST SYSTEM
(YUM1A/YUM2A)
1. Check:
• Exhaust pipe “1”
• Muffler “2”
Cracks/damage → Replace.
• Gaskets “3”
Exhaust gas leaks → Replace.
2. Check:
• Tightening torque
3. Remove:
• Exhaust pipe tail cap “1”
• Exhaust pipe tail screen “2”
4. Check:
• Exhaust pipe tail screen
Dirt/clogging/damage → Clean or replace.
5. Install:
• Exhaust pipe tail screen “1”
• Washer “2”
• Exhaust pipe tail cap “3”
TIP
When installing the exhaust pipe tail cap “3”, in-
stall the cap all the way onto the exhaust pipe,
and then move the cap back 1 mm (0.04 in) so
that there is a space of 1 mm (0.04 in) between
the washer “2” and the cap “3”.
6. Tighten:
• Exhaust pipe tail clamp
LUBRICATING THE PRIMARY SHEAVE
(YUM1A/YUM2A)
1. Lift up the cargo bed (YUM2A).
2. Remove:
• Driver seat frame (YUM1A)
Refer to “GENERAL CHASSIS (1)” on page
4-1.
3. Lubricate:
• Primary sheave
