CHECKING THE TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply
the parking brake.
2. Remove:
• Oil level plug “1”
3. Check:
• Transmission oil level
The transmission oil level should be up to the
brim of the hole.
Below the brim → Add the recommended
transmission oil to the proper level.
NOTICE
Take care not to allow foreign material to en-
ter the transmission case.
4. Install:
• Oil level plug

RELEASE TIMING
1. Adjust:
• Parking brake release timing
NOTICE
Before performing parking brake release ad-
justment, adjust brake pedal free play.
a. Apply pressure to the parking brake pedal
“1” until the brake nail “2” catches the first
latch position on the sector “3”.
b. Loosen the locknut “4” and turn the bolt “5”
counterclockwise until it contacts the sec-
tor.
c. Turn the bolt clockwise 120 degrees, then
tighten locknut.
