PC GENIUS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM
(YUM2E)
INTRODUCTION
The PC genius diagnostic system is a software
program designed to access the diagnostic and
programming features of the motor control unit
(MCU). The system is used in conjunction with a
computer and CAN-BUS cable combination to
communicate with the motor control unit’s inter-
nal program.

• Ext. wire harness (9 pin to 3 pin) (for AC mod-
els)

CAN-BUS cable (for AC models)
The PC genius diagnostic tool includes both
software and hardware that is designed to ac-
cess the diagnostic and programming features
of the motor control unit (MCU).
The PC genius diagnostic system is used in con-
junction with a computer running Windows
®
(not
included). The transfer of data from the car’s
MCU is accomplished by using a CAN-BUS de-
vice for the AC model.
CONNECTING THE PC GENIUS
1. CAN-BUS device is must be connected with
wire harness before use the PC genius.
2. Remove the cap “1” from the wire harness
connector “2” connector is located on the in-
side of rear access panel beside the MCU.
3. Connect the IR CAN-BUS cable “2” and the
Ext. wire harness “1” to your computer “3”.
4. Connect the Kvaser
®
CAN-BUS cable and
the Ext. wire harness connect to the wire har-
ness connector.
DIAGNOSTIC MODE
The PC genius diagnostic system allows the
user to access the MCU to monitor usage and
performance data for diagnostic and trouble-
shooting purposes.
This includes the following information:
Diagnostic data:
• Car number
• Amp hours
• Battery volts
• Hours
•Miles
• Mode
• Status
• MCU serial number
• MCU software version number
• Previous mode
• Previous mode hour
• Motor part number
