CHECKING THE DRIVE BELT (YUM1A/
YUM2A)
1. Lift up the cargo bed.
2. Remove:
• Driver seat frame (YUM1A)
Refer to “GENERAL CHASSIS (1)” on page
4-1.
3. Check:
• Drive belt “1”
Cracks/damage/wear → Replace.
Grease/oil → Clean.
4. Install:
• Driver seat frame (YUM1A)
Refer to “GENERAL CHASSIS (1)” on page
4-1.
CHECKING THE SPEED LIMITER
OPERATION (YUM1A/YUM2A)
TIP
The speed limiter is properly adjusted at the fac-
tory. No adjustment is normally required.
NOTICE
• When service is performed on the throttle
body, throttle cables or governor parts, the
vehicle maximum speed should be
checked and the speed limiter setting ad-
justed as necessary.
• Before performing repairs, mark the pres-
ent limiter setting with a paint mark for fu-
ture reference. Return the adjustment to the
original setting after repairs are completed,
then test the vehicle speed.
1. Check:
• Standard speed limiter setting
Out of specification → Adjust.
2. Lift up the cargo bed.
3. Adjust:
• Speed limiter setting
a. Turn the adjusting nut “1” to adjust it to the
proper speed limiter setting.
CHECKING THE BATTERY TERMINALS
1. Check:
• Battery terminals
Looseness → Tighten.
Corrosion → Rinse with warm water and
clean with a soft wire brush, etc.
2. Lubricate:
• Battery cable connector
