(20) Remove the pump drive gear and hub as
an assembly using an appropriate 2-bolt
gear puller (Figure 8).
Note:
The injection pump drive gear will remain
"captured" in the gear case.
(21) Once the fuel injection pump drive gear
and hub assembly has "popped" loose
from the tapered fuel injection pump drive
shaft, carefully remove the drive gear nut
(Figure 9, (1)) and lock washer (Figure 9,
(2)).
