7.3 MotorMixerChecking
Beforetakeoff,youstillneedtocheckyourmotormixcontrol.
Firstlet’stakethequadcopter+typeasanexampletosimplydescribehowtocheckmotormixcontrol(Please
refertotheillustrationforotheraircraftconfigurations).Youneedtoarmthemotorsandcheckwhathappens
when
youadvancethethrottlestick,ifthefourmotorsrotateatthesamespeedthismeansthemotorbalanceis
good.
1.Tochecktheaileronchannel,slightlypushtheaileronsticktotheleft,motorM4shouldrotateimmediately
(see1ontheillustrationbelow),theotherthreemotors
shouldkeepstill.Pushtheaileronsticktotheright
slightly,motorM2shouldrotateimmediately(see2ontheillustrationbelow),theotherthreemotorsshould
keepstill.
2.Checktheelevatorchannel.Accordingtotheaircraftsymmetryitshouldbesimilartocheckingtheaileron
channel.Pushtheelevator
stickupslightly,motorM3shouldstarttorotate(see3ontheillustrationbelow)now
slightlypulltheelevatorstickdownandmotorM1shouldstarttorotateimmediately(see4ontheillustration
below).
