The Spanning Tree Port Setup Page contains the following fields:
Status — Specifies if STP is enabled on the port. The possible field
values are:
Enabled —Specifies that STP is enabled on the port.
Disabled —Specifies that STP is disabled on the port.
No Change —Maintains the current STP settings. This is the
default value.
Edge Port —Specifies if Edge Port is enabled on the port. If Edge
Port is enabled for a port, the Port State is automatically placed in
the Forwarding state when the port link is up. Edge Port optimizes
the STP protocol convergence. STP convergence takes 30 seconds
and is not dependent on the number of switches in the network.
However, an edge port that receives a BPDU immediately loses
edge port status and becomes a normal spanning tree port. The
possible field values are:
