LCL filter cooling fan replacement (Frame R8i and up)
The lifespan of the cooling fans of the LCL filter modules is about 60 000 hours. The
actual lifespan depends on the running time of the fan, ambient temperature and
dust concentration. Replacements are available from ABB. Do not use other than
ABB specified spare parts.
LCL filter fan replacement procedure
1. Read and repeat the steps in section Safety instructions above.
2. Disconnect the fan wiring plug (1).
3. Remove the screws of the fan fastening rail/clip (2).
4. Pull the fan out (3).
5. Install a new fan in reverse order.
