4.13 Slow closing and opening operations
Some service work requires the circuit-breaker to operate slowly. For example
preparing for overhaul of breaking unit on two chamber breaker.
CAUTION
Slow closing and opening operations may only be carried out by persons
that are well conversant with the operation of the mechanism and circuit-
breaker, as there is a risk of personal injury and mechanical damage.
Slow closing of the operating mechanism
May only be carried out if:
1. The circuit-breaker is in the open position.
2. The switch Local/Remote (1) on
the control panel is in the Off
position.
3. The motor voltage is switched
off with the direct-on-line
starters (2), (3).
4. The switch Motor/Hand (4) is in
the Hand position so that the
shaft for manual cranking is
released.
