RS485 interfaces
There are two RS485 interfaces on the top of the eMShome (
A
and
B
) which are used for communication with the
eMH1 Wallboxes. The following specifications apply to the RS485 interfaces:
Requirement for the data cable
 Nominal voltage/wire insulation: 300V RMS
 Cable cross section: 0.25–1.5mm²
 Cable type: rigid or flexible
 Recommendation: To do this, please refer to the section on “Data cable recommendations” onpage49.
Requirement for cable installation
 In the area for connecting the RS485 interfaces on the eMShome, mechanical means must be provided to ensure
that individual wires of the connecting cable are at least 10mm away from live parts.
 The connecting cable must be run separately from the mains cables in the distribution board and on the perma-
nent link.
