3 . W hen the flashing blood drop appears on the screen, press to m ark the
test as a control. You can also do this right after you get your test result, but
not after the m eter turns off. A contro l bottle sy m bol is d isplayed on th e screen
and stored in the m e m ory to show that this result is fro m a control test.
4 . Br iefly ro ll the bottle of control solution, open it, squeeze one drop ont o a paper
towel, and wipe the tip of th e bottle clean.
5 . Touch one drop of low level ( blue cap ) control solution to the center of the
orange pad. D o not bend the test strip. W hen the test is done, the m eter will
display the test result.
6 . Check that the result with the low control solution is within the low range on
the test strip container.

H igh L evel Tes ting
L ow level testing is all you need to do m ost of the ti m e. If you thin k your m eter or test strips m ight not be working correctly, you m ay
also want to do a high level test. S i m ply repeat S teps 3 through 6, using high level control solution ( red cap ) .
If you do not hav e hi gh level cont rol soluti on, you m ay purchase control solutions separately at your phar m acy, or by ca lling the
ACC U -C H EK Custo m er Care S ervice Center, 1-800-858-8072.
The low level solution has a blue cap. The high level sol ution has a red cap.
