hen a co ntrol test isnt within the acceptable rang e, there could be several reason s.
Follow these steps to find out why:

Action
Replace solution or test strips that have expired or
solution you opened more than three months ago
.
If either has been open for a while
,
replace the test
strips or control solution
.
If not
,
recode the meter (Chapter 1
,
Coding the Meter)
.
Reread Chapter 1
,
Running a Control Test and
Understanding Control Test Results and test again or
ask your healthcare provider for help
.
Repeat the test in the appropriate temperature range
.
Repeat the control test with a new test strip
.
If the
result still isnt within the acceptable range
,
contact the
ACCU-CHEK Customer Care Service Center at
1-800-858-8072
.
Trou bleshooting Checks

Check the expiration dates of the test strips
and control solutions
.

Make sure the caps were tight on the test
strip container and control solution bottles
.

Check that the code on the meter matches
the code on the test strip container
.

Make sure you followed all the testing
steps
.

Make sure the temperature was between
50-104°F (10-40°C) when you did the test
.
